At the discretion of the Directors of two divisions and in conjunction with the Executive, a player can be moved to a lower division if it is deemed their skills would be better developed in that lower division.
A player will be permitted to move to another division only with the approval of the Directors of both divisions and the Executive. If a player chooses to move to a higher division and is sanctioned, once that player has participated in three (3) games within that division they cannot move back.
A player designated as a player on a Stephenville All-Star team must be sanctioned by the division Director to participate in Developmental or House League tournaments in the division that the player is registered. If a player participates without sanction, the player may, upon review by the Executive, forfeit their right to play on any All-Star or Developmental team representing S.M.H.A. and will only be permitted to participate in House League play.
A player must take part in at least five (5) regular season games in order to participate in play-offs. Executive may make exceptions on the basis of illness or injury, subject to review.
To be eligible to participate on an All-Star team, a player must have been registered with the S.M.H.A. no later than December 10. Exceptions can be granted by the Director of a division in conjunction with the Executive.
