October 29 was an exciting day in Stephenville, NL. That evening our town was awarded the host site for Hockey Day in Canada! Watch the announcement!!

As well as Don Ron and Dick, Hockey day celebrations will see hockey stars and celebrities coming to be part of the festivities. Find out whose coming.

Part of the Hockey Day in Canada activities feature a ball hockey tournament starting at 8:00 am January 7, 2006. The games will be played in the parking lot of the Dome, the host venue. If you are interested check out the details...

Contests are up and running in schools on the west coast!!! See the details....

January 5, Thursday evening, a very special film Called "When Hockey Came to Belfast" will be shown at the Arts and Culture Centre. This is the East Coast premiere and show time is 6:00 pm. Admission is simply wear a hockey jersey! About the movie...

Also January 5, there is a shinny game featuring the CBC crew, NHL staff and Minor Hockey representatives at 7:30. This game will be followed by a Junior Jets game at 9:00. Admission is free so come out and enjoy the games.
